Zagreb Zoo is one of three zoo parks in the country. It is located northeast from the historical center of the city and occupies about 7-hectares. Just imagine that this zoo is a home to more than 2 thousand animals.
Zagreb Zoo opened in 1925 and today is over 90 years old. Among its inhabitants, you will find rare species like snow leopard, red panda, okapi, North China leopard and pygmy hippopotamus.
Ljubljana Zoo is located just about 90 minutes’ drive from here but cannot be compared with zoo of Zagreb. You can make sure of this, if you check our webcams there.
