Kouty nad Desnou. Kouty Ski Resort

The ski resort of Kouty is situated in the mountains of Jeseníky. The location of the resort is very convenient because Kouty nad Desnou is close to the Czech railway and road network; it attracts guests from all over the Olomouc Region.

Kouty Ski Resort has 11.5 kilometers of slopes for skiing and snowboarding; there is a 3-kilometer long track for beginners, and it’s about 50 meters wide. The resort is proud of the 6-seater chairlift, which is the first in the country (we can see one of its stations on the screen).

The lift works regardless of the season. In the summer time, tourists come to Bear Mountain (an altitude of 1,195 meters) to go hiking. You can take your bicycle when you go up on the funicular, because there are bike trails in this area in summer.

Local hotels, such as Hotel Dlouhé Strán, have reasonable prices, even in the high season, and offer rooms for about $50.
