Kolind. Scandinavian Wildlife Park. White Bears
Scandinavian Wildlife Park was built near the Danish town of Kolind. We can see only a corner of this park, where the polar bears, Siku, his father Nanok and an adult male, Nuuk, live.
The name, Siku, is from the Inuit language and is a call to stop the global warming, which endangers the population of these animals. Siku made this wildlife park famous all over the world, when he was born here in 2006. The live webcast of Siku’s life became very popular due to the BBC website.
The Scandinavian park was opened in 1994. In addition to polar bears, brown bears and gray wolves also live here. The park is one of the world’s largest of this type.
We can see animals resting and having fun in an artificial pond. There is an amphitheater around the reservoir for visitors of the park. The camera operates in real time from 11 am to 1 pm GMT. The rest of the time you can see a review of the previous day.
