Les Arcs. Arc 2000 Station
In front of us is the highest station in the resort of Les Arcs, Arc 2000. It is connected with the nearest station, 1950, by free bus service, as well as the funicular. The station has modern hotels, shops, and restaurants. The PTZ camera is installed opposite the restaurant, Le Savoy.
Arc 2000 is the starting point to the highest point of the resort — the peak of the Aiguille Rouge (altitude 3,226 meters above sea level). Aiguille Rouge is the French Mecca for freeriders. The slopes above Arc 2000 are among the busiest on the resort. There are many funiculars for tourists, including such modern ones as Arcabulle, Bois de l’ors, and Marmottes.
The station you see on the screen can be called a small village because many hotels and cottages have been built here. At the same time, prices at the resort are quite high; for example, the simplest room in the four-star hotel costs 1,250 euros. Such a room can accommodate up to six guests.
