Anaklia. The Embankment

This webcam shows the modern embankment of the resort place of Anaklia. Current view is from the Hotel Anaklia, located, as you can see, quite close to the Black Sea. Nearby stands another large hotel, The Golden Fleece Hotel.

Actually, Anaklia is a village, which lies near the Georgian border with Abkhazia. This place is famous mostly for its wonderful beaches and the 17th-century fortress. In 2013, Georgian Government decided to build here a large cargo port with estimated handling capacity of about 100 million tons per year.

At the end of the beautiful seaside promenade, captured by our webcam, stands a pedestrian bridge over the Enguri River, connecting the resort to the village Ganmukhuri.
