Zugdidi. In the City Center. The Fountain

This webcam is located in beautiful Zugdidi, a city in Western Georgia. We are observing its center and the Zugdidi fountain from the side of one of the administrative buildings. In nearby houses are located cafes, hotels and banks.

Zugdidi attracts tourists with many historical and cultural monuments. The most popular sites are the Queen’s palace (dating back to the 19th century),The Dadiani Palaces Museum (also known as Niko’s palace, 19th century), The Cathedral of the Blachernae Icon of the Mother of God and The Mantskhvar-kari Church (10th century). The most visited attraction of these four is the Dadiani Palaces Museum with over 45 000 exhibit items, including Napoleon’s death mask and the Holy Robe of Mary the mother of Jesus.

Zugdidi lies close to the popular resorts of the Black Sea. Green surroundings of the city offer not only picturesque views and beautiful memories, but also interesting pastime for enthusiasts of active vacation. In one day you can visit thermal Karstic funnels, the Dadiani Cave and the famous “Kuakantsalia” stone (or “the swinging stone”), which can be swung just with a finger.
