Bad Wiessee. Lake Tegernsee

The camera is installed on one of the tracks of a small ski resort, Audi Skizentrum Sonnenbichl. There are several simple tracks, convenient for mastering the basic skills of skiing or snowboarding. The ski slope is located in the northern part of the municipality of Bad Wiessee.

As you may have guessed, the camera only partially shows us the ski slopes, its main aim is Lake Tegernsee, located at the foot of the mountains. It was formed 18,000 years ago after the glacier descent. Now, it is a popular German resort where tourists come from all over the country in search of silence.

After the creation of a special sewerage ring around the lake in 1960, Tegernsee has become the cleanest lake in Bavaria. The first large settlements around the lake appeared at the end of the first millennium and, since then, the area is constantly evolving. As a consequence, the spa guests cannot only enjoy boating or fishing, but can also see the beautiful architectural monuments around the lake.
