Wendelstein is perhaps one of the most built-up mountain peaks in Bavaria. The height of Wendelstein is 1,838 meters above sea level, which is the highest of all peaks of the same mountain massif. It is very simple to get to the top, you just need to use the cableway connecting the summit with the Bayrischzell Osterhofen area. Another option to get to the mountain is to come here by the Wendelsteinbahn railway.

The eight-kilometer rack railway was built at the beginning of the last century. Trains travel the one-kilometer difference in altitudes and deliver tourists from Brannenburg directly to the summit of Wendelstein. Today, Wendelsteinbahn is the oldest operating railway system in Bavaria. Hydroelectric power stations were built especially for it, and the line uses retro cars.

The rotary camera shows us the top lift station, restaurant, observation deck, observatory, mountain hut, and Catholic church, built in 1889, 100 meters from the summit of Wendelstein. This church is the highest (altitude) church in Germany, and it is very popular with newlyweds.
