Braunlage. Hohegeiss. The View from Vitalhotel Sonneneck

The village of Hohegeiss is one of the many resorts in the area of Harz Mountain. There are mini-hotels and guest houses for tourists who get tired of the noisy cities and want the peace and solitude of nature. The camera was placed on its territory in one of the hotels, Vitalhotel Sonneneck. Judging by the fact that the hotel website does not have an English version, the hotel doesn’t rely on foreign vacationers. A large and comfortable room in Vitalhotel Sonneneck is from 120 to 150 euros, per night.

In addition to hotels and beautiful nature (Hoegayss is surrounded by many mountains, forests and rivers), there is a large outdoor swimming pool for tourists, as well as a couple of restaurants and cafes. In winter, you can rent a snowmobile to move along the forest trails quickly and comfortably.

The name of the village is a derivative of Hogeyz Forest located nearby. In Hoegayss, there is a monument to the victims of the GDR times.
