Cologne. Cologne Cathedral
View of the majestic Cologne Cathedral, a famous monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture. The Church is Germany’s most visited landmark, and it is added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Officially it took 600 years to build it. The legend says, that the chief architect was going to sell his soul to the Devil in exchange of finished drawings for the Church. With a woman’s help, he managed to both get those drawings and keep his soul. Of course, the Devil didn’t like it at all and he cursed the city. Cologne should have been destroyed the same day when the Cathedral stood ready.
