Düsseldorf. The Unterbach Lake

The Unterbach Lake is located in Unterbach borough, southeast of central Düsseldorf.

This beautiful place has as much beautiful legend about its own name “Unterbach”. This legend says that it comes from the knights, whose seat was the House of Unterbach — an old castle, which still can be found not far from here.

In present days, the Unterbach lake plays an important role for residents of Düsseldorf and neighboring cities. It serves as a major recreational facility with restaurants, beaches, camping and sport centers (sailing, golf and more).
