Flensburg. The Church of St. Johan

It is not the most informative camera of the German broadcasting company NDR. We can see a couple of sights in Flensburg, but they are hidden behind the trees in the summer months. One of the oldest offices of the company was opened in the city in the middle of the last century. NDR emphasizes the importance of this green area where their headquarters in Flensburg is located.

The bell tower with a spire belongs to St. Johan’s Church. This is one of the three ancient churches in the city which have survived to the present day. The church is built in Romanesque style with some Gothic elements. Tourists are impressed by the interior of the church. There is the pipe organ dating from the beginning of the eighteenth century, which was improved in the middle of the last century.

Not far from the church is another attraction of the city, Flensburg Brewery, opened in 1888. It still does not belong to any of the major German concerns and is a private property.
