Marquartstein. Panorama of the Commune from Mountain Schnappenberg

You can see the Tiroler Achen Valley. Here, surrounded by high mountains of Germany, is the village of Marquartstein. We are looking at it from Mountain Schnappenberg. In general, rural houses are at the foot of the mountain. The river Tiroler Achen divides Marquartstein into two areas, connected by two bridges.

In the eastern part of the city is the main attraction of the village, the castle of Marquartstein. It was built in 1075 and has often changed owners. The last time it was put up for sale was in 2015. The price is unknown and available only upon request. In any case, the future owner will have housing with 1,000 years of history. Another area of the city also has an interesting architectural monument, the town hall.

Marquartstein has become famous thanks to its Amusement Park, Märchenpark Marquartstein, where children from all over the country can get acquainted with domestic animals, meet fairy tale characters, go through the obstacle course and visit many other attractions.
