Munich. Marienplatz

Marienplatz is listed in many guides as the main attraction of Munich. Around this place are many important objects: a museum, historic buildings, shops and shopping centers, banks, cafes and restaurants. Driving is prohibited here, which is why tourists choose this famous square for walking, as well as a large Munich park called “English Garden.”

You see a huge sign of bicycle lanes across Marienplatz. But cyclists feel comfortable outside of here as well, because the city has organized many ways for this type of transport in preference to cars.

But the most interesting object that the camera shows is the Town Hall, which consists of several buildings. New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) and the Town Hall Gallery (Rathausgalerie) is a complex of buildings, where the legislative body is situated and there is a gallery with exhibition halls open to all comers.
