Oldenburg. Administrative Buildings of the City
Despite all the architectural heritage of the former state of Oldenburg, the camera shows us the modern administrative buildings of the city. They also look interesting, rooftop add-ons turn these buildings into a kind of square bottles with lids.
One of the biggest cities of Lower Saxony is built on the navigable river Hunte. Oldenburg was first mentioned in 1108 but, according to archaeologists, the city was founded in the 7th – 8th century. Due to its rich history, you can find a huge number of interesting tourist places in the city, as well as archaeological excavations.
Even the city hospitals and hotels in Oldenburg look like real medieval palaces. Traveling through Europe, you can visit this city, for example, on the way from Bremen to Amsterdam. The nearest international airport in Bremen is 50 kilometers from Oldenburg.
