Ravensburg. Marienplatz Square
Marienplatz is not only a square in the center of Ravensburg, Germany, but also a historic district. Because of it, the city has developed rapidly in economic and social terms. There are the main attractions, buildings with a long history, as well as cafes, restaurants and hotels in the city.
The record of doing the biggest jigsaw puzzle in the world was set on this square. About ten thousand citizens came to the Marienplatz on September 28, 2008, to piece together a picture of nearly 1.5 million units. The whole composition occupied about 600 square meters and was done in less than five hours. This record is now listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ravensburg is also known for its towers, of which the city has more than a dozen.
We can see the office of one of Germany’s major banks, Deutsche Bank. From time to time, you can see the city bus, but as Marienplatz is a pedestrian zone, public transport goes there at very low speeds.
