Rosenheim. Panorama of the City
This camera, in the northeastern part of the city, is looking toward the center of Rosenheim. This German city is built on the Inn River. A little further south is a major motorway between Munich and Salzburg, Austria. In good weather, the high Alps can be seen far outside the city.
Rosenheim, with its interesting medieval architecture, is loved by tourists traveling through Germany. Rosenheim, like many European cities, was founded at the base of the castle, which appeared here in the thirteenth century. Gradually, at the marina of the Inn River, a fairground began to grow and it turned into a whole city by the eighteenth century.
On the right, we can see the unofficial symbol of the city, the parish church of St. Nicholas, with its high 65-meter tower. The church was built in the fifteenth century, and the famous “bulbous” dome appeared only two centuries later. The last large-scale reconstruction of the church was carried out in 2006, so you have the opportunity to see the medieval church in all its grandeur.
