Sankt Peter-Ording. Badestelle Ording Beach

A unique sandy beach, which is represented on your screen, is located in the northern resort of Germany, St. Peter Ording. The beach has a length of 12 kilometers and a width of two kilometers. The dimensions of Badestelle Ording, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are constantly changing because of the abundant tides.

The entrance fee is three euros in the high season and two euros in the low season. There are a variety of recreation areas on this giant beach. During low tides, cars can park directly on the sand close to the sea, there is a site for nudists, a zone for walking dogs, a windsurfing area, beach kiosks and other areas.

All buildings on the beach are located on high stilts, so they are not flooded during high tide. Many beach restaurants have outdoor terraces with sun loungers where you can sunbathe in good weather, which is not very frequent here.

Among the houses on “chicken legs,” where bars and restaurants are open, there are also sports centers. You can take windsurfing lessons, for example, in Wassersportcenter X-H2O.
