Unterammergau. Mount Laber

The camera is located near the German ski resort, Laber-Bergbahn, located on Mount Laber. We are looking at this mountain from the town of Unterammergau, where there are also several interesting trails for skiers and snowboarders, but they are more intended for beginners.

On the way to Oberammergau, where there are lifts to Mount Laber, you can find another ski resort — Wanklifte Oberammergau. There, the tracks are more interesting because they are laid along the slope of a steep mountain.

But still the greatest interest with skiers is caused by Laber-Bergbahn. Although the tracks here are not numerous, they are designed exclusively for experienced skiers. In the summer, at the top of the mountain, you can meet hang gliders starting from an altitude of 1,686 meters above sea level. Near the top station of the lift is a restaurant, as well as telecommunications equipment.

For travelers who want to climb the “Devil’s Peak” (the second name of Mount Laber), there are several routes for climbing and each takes about an hour.
