Jerusalem. Mount Zion. Abbey of the Dormition. King David's Tomb. The Room of the Last Supper
This webcam is located in Jerusalem, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the world. This city at one time represented a holy place to Jews, Christians and Muslims.
Mount Zion, captured by the objective of our webcam, is the world’s most holy place for Jews. It is believed to be where the world started. We can see the Wailing Wall on the Temple Mount, where thousands of Jewish pilgrims come to pray and beg the God to send them health, happiness or children.
In Islamic tradition, the Temple Mount is also sacred. It is the third most holy place after al-Aqsa Mosque (where, according to Islamic tradition, Muhammad ascended to heaven) and the shrine of The Dome of the Rock.
For the world’s largest religion, Christianity, this city is also sacred. According to Christian theology, Jesus suffered, died and resurrected from the dead here, in Jerusalem. Among the major places of pilgrimage are the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Cenacle and Golgotha.
