Belgirate. Lago Maggiore

This is another camera on the coast of the Italian resort, Belgirate. Unlike the two other cameras, this one does not show the embankment with piers but the panorama of Lake Maggiore, as well as the high Alpine mountains in the background of the image. We are looking at the resorts of Lombardy, such as Cerro, Mombello, Renault, and other villages that occupy the eastern shore of the lake.

Over all these popular tourist communities rise two mountains — Monte Sangiano and Monte San Clemente. Both peaks have approximately the same height, 532 and 521 meters above sea level, respectively. Naturally, such beautiful areas are popular with tourists. Travelers go to the top through chestnut forests, and the most extreme guests of Lombardy try to conquer sheer rocks using mountaineering equipment.

Like many mountain peaks in Europe, a church was built on Monte Sangiano, during the Middle Ages. To get to the historical monument of architecture, you will have to travel about 300 meters along mountain trails. A few centuries ago, the atypical complex of churches was a popular place for pilgrimage, baptism, and burial of local residents.

If you want to get to the dock, which is visible at the bottom of the picture, and personally enjoy the delightful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, you should go to the Belgirate railway station and then head straight to the east. In a few minutes, you will be at the place where this camera is installed.
