Caorle. Historical Part of the Town

The town of Caorle, on the Adriatic coast, is the most picturesque place of Eastern Veneto, from Venice to Trieste. Hemingway was so captivated by Caorle that he described it in his novel Across the River and Into the Trees.

The historical part of the town, which is shown by the webcam, is known for colorful houses in the Venetian style. These colorful two-and-three-story houses, in the shade of pine and leaf trees, add the comfort and tranquility of provinciality to the appearance of the resort town.

This area is called Small Venice because of a network of canals, along which sail bright motor boats.
