Gaeta. Fontania Promontory and Serapo Beach
This webcam is located in the wonderful Italian city of Gaeta. It lies on the western coast of the country, in the Gaeta Bay (which is a part of the Tyrrhenian Sea), not far from Naples and Rome. One of the city’s main beaches, Serapo Beach, is about 2 kilometres long and stretches alongside the coast line till the place where it meets the Fontania promontory. Second city beach is called Sant’Agostino. Both beaches are famous for their white sands and clear blue waters.
Among the most prominent city attractions of Gaeta are: the Medieval Quarter of Gaeta with the houses from the 11-13th centuries, the ancient Aragonese-Angevine Castle (built around the 6th century), the Mausoleum of Lucius Munatius Plancus (who was a famous Roman senator), the beautiful Church of San Giovanni a Mare (10th century) and several other incredibly old and charming churches.
