La Thuile. La Thuile Ski Resort
In front of us is another Italian resort, near the French border. This time, unlike Courmayeur with its slopes of Mont Blanc, we are on the slopes of Pointe de la Louïe Blanche. The most interesting thing is that we can see a panorama of La Thuile from one of the upper stations of the resort.
Despite the fact that the slopes here are wide and gentle enough, well-trained skiers can enjoy skiing on the hills, and there are plenty of them, all the way to the lower station of the cableway.
La Thuile is separated from the homonymous community by a wooded slope, so skiers have to first take one of the express trains to the skiing area.
In addition to tourists, professional athletes come to La Thuile every year. There are various competitions, including the stages of the skiing world cup.
There are not only ski trails but also monuments of architecture in the mountains above La Thuile. Various defensive structures appeared here in the Middle Ages.
