We can enjoy the views of a small provincial town, in the north of Italy. But do not underestimate Montagna because of its size, as it is home to the legendary castle of the 12th century, Castel d’Enna.

The family of Zenobio Albrizzi, who still owns the castle, inherited it, in 1648, from the previous owners, who significantly changed the appearance of the building. The last major restoration was carried out at the end of the 19th century; the spiers, towers and skylights of the castle underwent significant changes.

It’s interesting that the coat of arms of Montagna was inherited from the symbolism of the lords of Anna, who built Castel d’Enna. In the vicinity of the town is another monument of architecture, the church of St. Stephen.
