Sirmione. Castello dei Scaligero

We can see one of the major attractions around Lake Garda in Italy, Castello Scaligero of the thirteenth century. Previously, it served as a port for the Verona flotilla. Now, there is a museum of history, and guided tours are held there. In 2014, the castle was visited by more than two hundred thousand tourists, who brought about half a million euros to the Sirmione budget.

Exhibits of the Roman and medieval times are in the castle museum. We can see one of the towers. From the highest point of the castle, you can see not only the city of Sirmione, which has a shape no less bizarre than Italy does, but also the villages around Lake Garda.
