Sottomarina. The Beach

It is said that Sottomarina is not the best place for swimming. Although, as you can see, the beach is quite spacious and well equipped. The sea is not very clean, but it is possible to combine a beach holiday with a cultural one, if you go to nearby Venice.

Sottomarina is recommend for visiting by gastronomic tourists. The town is famous as a fishing village, where you can always enjoy fresh fish dishes. Not very sophisticated, but simple and amazingly delicious, thanks to the fact that the fish, which is served to you here, splashed in marine waters just an hour before.

Local fishermen are well settled. The path of migration of fish is literally off the shore of Sottomarina, so they need nothing but fishing tackle, even boats are not needed.
