Tarvisio. Piazza Unita. Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul
Tarvisio has gained wide popularity, primarily as a ski resort. But the sights of the town are a pleasant bonus for tourists. One of them is broadcast by this camera, which is installed on the building of the Town Hall and directed toward Unita Square.
The parish church of Saints Peter and Paul is situated in this square. The church was founded in 1399, but its modern appearance was created in the middle of the 15th century. The building is surrounded by numerous tombstones of the noble families of Tarvisio, as well as sculptures in the Gothic style. Town fairs and holidays for citizens and tourists are held on the square.
The modern attraction of Tarvisio is a ski jumping board, Trampolino Fratelli Nogara, opened in the early 1970’s and restored in 2003, before the XXI Winter Universiade.
