Venice. St. Piazza San Marco. Basilica di San Marco. Piazzetta dei Leoncini

The web cameras are installed in the heart of Venice, on Piazza San Marco (often known in English as St Mark’s Square).

It is a pity that we can’t see the Clock Tower of the 15th century with its magnificent astronomical clock; once a year it performs a show, akin to the one that daily collects crowds of tourists on Old Town Square in Prague.

Camera 1. The webcam shows a view of the western part of Piazza San Marco. On the right are the terraces of Gran Caffe Quadri and Gran Caffè Lavena. All guests of Venice try to drink a cup of coffee and take a picture here.

Camera 2. The camera shows a piece of Piazza San Marco between Basilica di San Marco and the National Library, in front of which Campanile tower is located.

Camera 3. Piazzetta dei Leoncini, which received its name because of its sculptures of lions and symbols of Venice, is situated to the east of the Clock Tower.
