Verona. The Piazza delle Erbe: the Herb's Square

Verona is famous worldwide for the Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”. Thanks to the webcam, located in one of the small streets leading directly to the Piazza delle Erbe, now you can yourself take a look at this wonderful and ancient Italian city.

Actually, Piazza delle Erbe is one of the most visited places of the city. Here we can find a great number of interesting monuments like the ancient town hall, the Torre dei Lamberti, the ancient “Judges’ Hall” (the Casa dei Giudici), the Domus Mercatorum (or simply “House of the Merchants”), the Palazzo Maffei (a beautiful Baroque palace) and the Mazzanti Houses (with wonderful frescoes on its facade).

From this standing point we can as well observe the “Berlina”, which once served as a center of the city’s manifold activities.
