Fujiyoshida. Katsuyama

The webcam is installed in Katsuyama Quarter, in the town of Fujikawaguchiko, between Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji. The central place in the video is taken by the volcano mountain, which keeps the Japanese in awe. Poems, haiku, paintings and prints, songs and theatrical performances are dedicated to it.

In the streets of the town are residential houses and social facilities: a post office, a school, a kindergarten. Modest hotels, which host the guests of the lake and the majestic mountains, huddle together. It is an absolutely non-touristy place. Small hotels, in addition to accommodations, offer traditional tea ceremonies and excursions to the Kawaguchi coast, located one kilometer away, and to the slopes of Mount Fuji, which is eight kilometers away.
