The mountain stretches 1,140 meters from the west to east, and is 560 meters wide. Sulaiman-Too has always had a sacred significance for the locals. The mountain has changed names several times. Until the 16th century, it had been called Bar-Kuh and then, until the 20th century, it was known as Takhty-Suleiman or “the throne of Solomon.”

In 2009, Mountain Sulaiman-Too was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. As you can see, there are various buildings on the top of the mountain. One of them is the mosque of Takhty Sulaiman, which was restored in the 1990s. At the foot of the mountain, there is another religious building, Ravat-Abdullahan, as well as the Sulaiman-Too History Museum.

There are seven caves and, at the eastern foot of the mountain, tourists can find the ancient bathhouse, built in the eleventh to fourteenth centuries.
