Daugavpils Municipality. Egļukalns Ski Resort. The Slope

In 2005, a ski slope with a lift was built in the suburbs of Daugavpils, on Egļukalns hill of Augšzemes upland. Until that time, there was just an observation deck on the hill with several trails leading to it.

Egļukalns translates as “Fir Tree Mountain”, because the resort offers slopes, surrounded by these trees. Now, there are three tracks: a family track, a slalom track and a path for snow tubing.

The main slope (slalom) is divided into two parts, the first one is straight, where you can accelerate to 60 km / h, while the second one has a lot of jumps, slides and ramps. The total length of these two sites is 400 meters.

The most popular is the family track, because beginners and more experienced skiers and snowboarders use it.

The use of the lift at the resort costs only 20 euros per day of skiing.
