Amsterdam. Paleisstraat Street

This camera, in the center of the Netherlands capital, is installed in the hotel W Amsterdam. On the screen, we can see a crossroads of Paleisstraat and Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, as well as Dam Square in the background. Another attraction of Amsterdam, which you can see, is the Royal Palace. Its walls rise above Paleisstraat, in the left part of the image.

Paleisstraat (translated as Palace Street) is small but popular with tourists because it connects the very center of the city with the Singel Channel. Another event that brought Paleisstraat world fame was the opening of a bookshop for the LGBT community in 1989.

Once you get to this street, you will most likely go to Dam Square along the walls of the Royal Palace. It was built in the middle of the 17th century, in the style of Dutch classicism. In the palace, tourists can find many outstanding works of art by famous Dutch artists, such as Rembrandt, Flinck, Jordaens, and others.
