Picton. Nopera Bay

In front of us is Nopera Bay. Although it refers to Picton, there are a couple of establishments with a mailing address where this city is indicated. Nopera is 10 kilometers from Picton (and this is only the linear distance, in any case, you would have to get there by water).

The restaurant in this remote place looks very amazing and unique, as does Nopera Golf Club. Players often feel like they’re “at the edge of the world.” Before going back to the “mainland”, many golfers visit The Hairy Mussel Co, the aforementioned unusual restaurant.

The bays neighboring Nopera are also home to tiny corners of civilization. Basically it is a hotel with a small number of rooms for quite adequate prices. For example, in the neighboring bay of Raetihi, in Raetihi Lodge, rooms overlooking the sea cost around 400 New Zealand dollars (about 280 US dollars). And for the most modest room, you would pay 270 NZD. Now you just need to find an inexpensive way to get there, and you’re all set!
