Bayerisch Eisenstein. Lake Arber

You can see the most visited lake of the Bavarian Forest, Arber, which is situated at an altitude of 935 meters above sea level. It is located in the southeast of Mount Großer Arber, where the largest ski resort, Fürstlich Hohenzollernsche ARBER-BERGBAHN, is located.

The camera is installed in the guest house, Arberseehaus, next to the shore of Arber. On the pier you can rent a small boat for a couple of hours and explore every corner of the lake. In an area of about eight hectares, there are a few floating islands; so, when going ashore, you need to be careful to choose an area of land which is not bound to the soil.

Every year, the lake attracts about half a million travelers. The first guest house on the site of modern Arberseehaus was opened in 1905, which means that tourists have inspected the lake and its surroundings for more than a hundred years.
