Schladming. Panorama from 6er-Sesselbahn Station
In the Austrian resort of Schladming is Gasselhöhe II, a cableway which brings tourists to the top of the mountain of the same name and passes the border of Styria and Salzburg. Gasselhöhe has a height of 2,001 meters above sea level, which is only 38 meters higher than the station 6er-Sesselbahn, which you can see on the screen.
Constantly developing ski resorts, belonging to the association Ski Amadé, periodically replenish their park of funiculars with new lifts. Gasselhöhe II was built in 1997. Six-seat chairs with a transparent “hood” are perfect for a five-minute trip in any weather. During this trip, skiers cover a distance of 1.5 kilometers and a height of about 500 meters.
From the highest station of Reiteralm, we are looking at the panorama of the ski slope, where you can see several mountain huts, such as Gasselhöh Hütte, in addition to the trails and ski lifts, mountain restaurants, and reservoirs.
In clear weather, we can see the valley of the river, Enns, and several settlements located between the high Alpine peaks, including Schladming itself.
