Jerzens. Hochzeiger Upper Station

The ski resort of Jerzens is located near Innsbruck, so it is very popular due to its accessibility. Most tourists, who wish to visit the Austrian Alps, fly to Innsbruck. We are at the top station of the Hochzeiger cableway, built in 1993. Eight-seat cabins come here from the Kaitanger area.

The travel time is only 5.5 minutes, as skiers travel the distance of more than 1.7 kilometers, and the difference in altitude between the upper and lower stations is 550 meters. The camera is installed at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level. The most interesting thing is that this is not the maximum height in Jerzens. Experienced skiers can continue to rise on other cableways, such as
Zirbenbahn, which takes them to a height of 2,400 meters.

As you can see, the top station of Hochzeiger is also a restaurant, Zeigerrestaurant, with an outdoor terrace and children’s playground. By the way, next to the station, there are a couple of mountain hotels. Thus, you can spend the night, for example, at Tanzalm Jerzens, and in the morning, get on the skis at once. One night in such a hut is 50 euros (half board included).
