Miesbach District. Wallbergbahn Ski Resort

Mount Wallberg is the upper station of the cableway (1,635 meters above sea level). From this height, we are looking at a panorama of the Alps in Upper Bavaria. When the camera turns toward the Austrian border, we can see a small church near the cliff, which attracts tourists, especially in the summer when the ski slopes are closed.

If you come here in the winter, it is best to purchase a cableway subscription, allowing you use of 20 lifts for 160 euros. At the top of the mountain, you will find not only a stunning ski slope but also magnificent views from Panoramarestaurant Wallberg.

The Rottach-Egern resort is perfect for lovers, since the cableway has special closed cabins in which you can arrange a romantic dinner. One “circle” in such a cabin costs 99 euros. They are especially popular on St. Valentine’s Day.
