Colorado Springs. Campus of Colorado College
A stunning picture opens to us from the tower of Shove Memorial Chapel. It appeared on the territory of Colorado College in 1931, though the educational institution itself was opened 57 years earlier. The chapel is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the US, constructed in the Romanesque style. It’s interesting that the construction of the chapel, right in the center of the campus, which we can see on the screen, was suggested the same year that the college was opened.
On the screen, we can see several campus buildings, as well as lawns and paths that connect the various buildings of the educational institution. In the left part of the image is Armstrong Hall. It is known primarily as the venue for the Colorado College Summer Music Festival.
In the background of the image, in clear weather, you can see dozens of mountain peaks of the Rocky Mountains, the most impressive of them is Pikes Peak. Its height is 4,301 meters above sea level.
Among the many well-known college graduates who have become famous in various fields, former and current NHL players are particularly proud of the school. More than 150 professional hockey players have graduated from Colorado College.
