The shelter for domestic and wild cats, Big Cat Rescue, at the north end of Tampa, has helped many kinds of cats recover and then sent them back into the wild. One of them, the red lynx, is on your screens. This North American lynx is undergoing rehabilitation at the shelter to get stronger and get ready to go into the wild.

The camera shows us these beautiful animals from different angles. As you can see, the cage is made in such a way that the lynx can play and develop its jumping and other skills. The body length of the red lynx can reach 80 centimeters, and the height at the withers is 35 centimeters. On average, this animal weighs of 6 to 11 kilograms.

Its name is due to its reddish-brown color, with a gray tinge. Another distinguishing feature of the red lynx is a white mark on the inner side of the tip of the tail.

After the rehabilitation period in the shelter, the lynx returns to its natural habitat. The animal is adaptable and can live both in subtropical forests and in arid desert areas. They climb trees only in case of emergency or in search of food and shelter.
