Tampa. Lioness Nikita
A huge lioness named Nikita, weighing 225 kg, is Big Cat Rescue, near Tampa. Her weight exceeds most adult males. This animal was rescued when they tried to transfer it to the zoo and the animal was drugged.
Nikita and a few other animals that could not get along with their relatives at the Nashville Zoo came to Big Cat Rascue at the end of 2001, and now they look better.
Thanks to the fact that the rotary camera shows us several parts of the enclosure, it is interesting and fascinating to follow Nikita’s life. Sometimes, the lioness hides in tall bushes, but she can also climb an open platform.
Nikita was delivered to the shelter in terrible condition. Before that, she had been chained to the concrete floor and had huge tumors on the elbows. After several months of recovery, the lioness is now fine. You can see Nikita during an excursion to the shelter.
