Neustift im Stubaital. Eisgrat Station

We are leaving for Mutterbergalm, the northern district of the community, Neustift im Stubaital. Here, on the slopes of Stubai Glacier, are ski slopes along which you can ski all year round. It’s obvious that in the hot summer weather only the upper routes of the resort are available for tourists.

The camera is installed at one of the highest lifts of the resort, the Eisgrat Station. From here, you can quickly get to a height of more than 3 kilometers above sea level and visit the unique cave-museum, Ice Cave Tyrol. The 200-meter cave is open all year round. In the summer, it is much easier to get to it. The entrance to the cave can be reached from Eisgrat Station in just 10 minutes. But in the winter, it is a little more difficult to navigate the path, so travelers are recommended to wear appropriate shoes (and certainly not ski boots). A ticket to the cave costs 6 euros.

The survey camera at the station shows us the peaks of the glacier, as well as many cableways that serve the slopes of Stubai. The eight-seater lift, Schaufeljochbahn, goes from the station of Eisgrat to the top of Tyrol. Having traveled to a height of 3,166 meters, you can visit one of the most interesting viewing platforms in Austria.
