Port de Sóller. The Resort Bay

Port de Sóller is located on the northern coast of Mallorca, along the shores of a quiet harbor. The bay of the resort has a modest size, so the port is bordered by the beach. Just behind the residential quarters are the high slopes of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.

We can see beautiful landscapes of this mountain chain, the highest point of which is 1,445 meters above sea level. Puig Major is also the highest point in the entire Balearic Islands. In the winter, some peaks of the mountain chain are sometimes covered with a light layer of snow.

We are looking at the bay of the resort from the bar, Es Mirall, whose visitors enjoy the same panorama of the Port de Sóller that we see on the screen.

The port of the resort is on the opposite side of the bay. Its berths accommodate up to 465 vessels. By the way, the modern port facilities are built on the site of ancient piers of the 18th century.
