Sokółka. District Office of Sokółka Gmina

Several administrative buildings of the Polish town of Sokółka were built on the northwestern outskirts. They do not represent a great architectural value, so you won’t meet tourists there.

In addition to the district department of the Sokółka community, the Center for Social Services, Public Library, notary’s office, and courthouse are located next to the intersection of Vladislav Sikroski and Jozef Pilsudski Streets. Right behind the district department, there is a small park where visitors of administrative institutions and local residents relax.

This district was built up in socialist times, so you will not find the usual architecture of European cities here. It is much more interesting to explore the central part of Sokółka, where many historical buildings have remained, they have become the sights of the town. Among them are the cinema, Tadeusz Kosciuszko Square, and Józef Piłsudski Square, as well as the Church of St. Anthony of Padua.
