Webcam in Broumov, a Czech town near the border with Poland. View to the central square called Peace Square.

The town is rather small, but in spite of it has a very long history. Broumov was founded around 1255 thanks to the settling policy of the Benedictines´ abbacy from Břevnov. It was planned as a center of trade, crafts and administration of the abbatial estates.

One of the most important sights in Broumov is The Church Of Saint Mary. It is the oldest wooden church on the territory of the whole country (founded in the 13th century).
