Several winter sports centers are located just outside the borders of Zagreb. Elevation difference is from 1280 to 2740.

For example, popular ski resort Platak has 5 slopes with total length of 9 kilometres (one of them is black, two are red and two — blue). Visitors are offered 5 lifts and a school for beginners, as well as 10 kilometres of perfectly maintained tracks for enthusiasts of cross-country skiing.

In addition, tourists can rent ski, have breakfast or dinner in a nice eating-house and stay in one of the nice local hotels.

By the way, skiing season here lasts from december to march.
