Kastrup. Airport. Runway strip
The Copenhagen Airport is not only the largest hub in the country, but also in Scandinavia. Due to such characteristics, the loading of the airport varies throughout the day; first, a large flow of aircrafts land here one by one, then Kastrup is being prepared for sending out a large passenger flow in different directions.
This camera is located next to the air strip. There are three strips at the airport. Their total capacity is over eighty takeoffs and landings per hour.
The first building of Copenhagen Airport was wooden. With the modernization of the airport in 1939, it was decided to preserve the original building and move it a few kilometers from the main territory of the airport.
Kastrup is located on the island part of Copenhagen. The metro line goes straight to the airport, so you can get from Copenhagen to Kastrup by convenient public transport.
