Caravino. Parco di Masino Castle

The camera in the Italian town of Caravino is set at the foot of the hill, on which the famous castle Parco di Masino was built. We can see it in the center of the image. It is just two kilometers from the historic center of Caravino to the castle, so many tourists stop in this city built on the hills of Canavese.

Built in the eleventh century, Masino Castle became home to the descendants of King Arduino. The Valperga family used to live there, but at the end of the twentieth century, the castle was finally handed over to the Italian Environmental Fund and now its interiors are available to anyone.

The castle is surrounded by a huge park, where there is a botanical maze and the road to the castle, built along the grove. The Grand Ballroom is one of the most interesting and beautiful rooms in the castle.
