Zagreb. Trg Bana Josipa Jelačića. Panorama

Compared to the coast, the capital of Croatia is not too popular among tourists but there is definitely something to see.

Sightseeing should be started with the central square, Trg bana Josipa Jelačića, the panorama of which we can see. All the buildings on the square are constructed in different architectural styles. The houses in the classical style are situated side by side with Baroque and Art Nouveau and their roofs are full of red and orange colors.

You can also see the legendary Gothic towers of Zagreb Cathedral, located just north of the square. The construction of the Catholic cathedral began in 1093 and, despite the long history of wars and destruction, as well as periods of prosperity and decline, the Cathedral has managed to preserve the luxury and grandeur of its architecture. The 105 meter towers, stretched to the sky, give us the feeling that the cathedral flies over the Croatian capital.
